Honesty in Life

Honesty in Life
What we know about honesty is a mental attitude which is very hard to find. Today it's hard to find honesty as more people are likely to lie. Many people lie to get money to meet economic needs and power. People who are caught doing lie would get a negative view from people around him. Examples such as investigation of cases of corruption committed by state officials to cover up the deed (s)he did. Now is a scene captured on television news about the witnesses who is also suspected of corruption which is considered to lie by making wrong statements before the trial court.

Lie will also cause misery if we do it to get what we want and harm others. Let's say that honestly, because it was better. Honest also brings us to an abundance of happiness. Sometimes we unknowingly do lie and make us forget ourselves. In fact what we are doing is clearly wrong and there is no point, it can even hurt yourself.

Honest is a symbol of trust, so that in doing all things with our honesty will be appreciated by everyone. People also trust us for what we have done and make ourselves feel no burden of thought. Even be beneficial to our own. But if we do lie, then life will never be quiet. Indeed, it is very difficult to do right, but for people who genuinely do not. For those who believe, surely God gives us a way that gives happiness in life if we live our lives with honesty.

Get Rich With The Right Ways

Get Rich With The Right Ways
The fact that everyone in this world requires the property to satisfy their daily needs. Therefore, all vying for gain and control of resources as much as possible. Wealth is also a person's social identity in the community and who mean the most prosperous people who succeed in life. Because of this competition, of course, there are successful and some are not. Anyone managed to become wealthy by coincidence, inheritance, luck or because of his hard work. People who fail does not mean because they do not try hard, but can also be determined by luck.

For the wise, wealth is not a life goal, but only a means to make ends meet and share with others. But unfortunately many are making a wealth as a purpose in life and get caught up in ways that are not honest to get it. Dishonest manner for example by way of cheating, corruption, theft, or in other ways that no good. It is deeds and not understanding correctly, harm and damage the social order. Do not ever get caught for making a fortune as a purpose in life, but to get in wealth could do better for the people around you.

Do not be jealous of other people's wealth more than you. As long as you have enough to feed families and their daily needs and have no debt, then you are rich. If you want to be obsessed with the rich, go for it honestly. Wealth gained by dishonesty will not that make your life happier and unseen. To what an abundance of wealth if you are not still feeling as if one is going to prosecute you or your property are also feeling guilty for having hurt other people or society. Distinguish also what your needs are and what your life is to be desired. Needs of has its limits, while the desire there will be no limit. If today you want a car, after that you will want to have a luxury car, after that a private yacht, after that the private jet and so on.

This is all just my personal thoughts only, you may agree or not because you are your own life. I also want to be rich, but do not want to get it by the wrong way and hurt others. I want to be rich in a way that is feasible and useful for people who are around me. I do not want wealth to rule my life, but I want to determine to what that property if I've got it.

Smart and Humble

smart and humble
Such figures are hard to find everywhere. Few people can be found in this world who feel that although he was smart but do not have the slightest pride in her soul. Especially if they have advantages in terms of material and is not arrogant, would greatly admired by the people around him. Indeed, as this is the type of person who takes the people closest to us.

A simple person here for me is someone who gets along with anyone regardless of their status or where they came from circles. Humility is also someone who is simple and sincere in giving and sciences which they have to others. Although he was smart, it even has an excess of material, but they still are not arrogant. Because there is no point in it fostered arrogant soul within.

I once met someone who always feels simple. Although people around him knew he was smart and excess in terms of material, but he always felt humbled in front of people around him. He always wants to share knowledge with anyone and get along with anyone. This is an exemplary figure to all. Moreover, he also obey the worship, indeed he is worthy of the people as well admired.

The above example could be the one to make us humble before others, even though we feel has the advantages of the person's knowledge. Because the example above is a figure of a person who sought the people on the go. Moreover, this figure is also the character of the dream of every person, we liked and loved by many people and we also could be their role model in the future. Then be a person who has knowledge but always humble before the people around.

Having friends from different countries

Having friends from different countries
Having friends from different countries to teach us about the differences and social diversity. By having many friends with a background of different cultures and nations we can recognize on unique world civilization. It's good to maintain harmony and continuity of the civilization of the world that more and more with interest and competition. If harmony is not maintained then it will only bring destruction, there is a conflict between the majority and the minority. Oppression and tyranny will be a very frightening scourge to mankind.

Friends from different backgrounds of nation and state also means having friends from different religious backgrounds. Every religion teaches kindness and tolerance toward minorities or larger groups. Every nation and state are also some small and some huge, both territorial authority and influence in the region or internationally. Expected combination of good teaching of religion could also neutralize imbalances caused by differences in influence and power.

Tolerance is the output of borderless friendship while the harmony into its outcome. Friendship does not need to meet the physical, but can also be done online as a lively peeps do nowadays. Online communities often bring together people with similar interests and make friends with each other. Internet enables us to communicate with our new friends. If you are including in this online friendship activities, recognizing the good people who become a new friends must be done also to avoid destructive friendship.

Chinese New Year 2012 and Forecast

chinese 2012 dragon year
In the Chinese calendar system, year 2012  is the year of the Dragon. Many also mentioned as the year of Aqua Dragon. Every year there is always the name is taken from the name of the corresponding Shio animals such as snakes, buffalo, pigs, dogs, rabbits and others. Each animal names that apply in that year gave an indication of the prediction of what will happen in this world, nature, social and in every person. China people usually predict his luck at every turn of the year. Today there are many people who are not descendants of Chinese who come to do the same. This is usually the most predictable first is financial, health, marriage and career.

I do not know the origin of this tradition because I am not a chinese. Every year I have observed this phenomenon only and if there are predictions made feng shui master, I just heard it because I did not want to be stuck and believe the forecast and it is not good because in my opinion to precede god. If any event in that year which proved to be true, I consider to be a coincidence.

The moment the new year china was regarded as the moment to further improve cultural tolerance because in my city there is not only the native communities that exist but there are also communities of chinese. As in previous years, these moments remind us that there are our brothers who are around us with a distinct culture that should be respected. So, the moment of china new year for me not to go racing fortune, but to further enhance social sensitivity. Hopefully the bad predictions made never happen and the predictions either occur in the name of god, not on behalf of the fortune teller:) Gong Xi Fa Cai.

Learn Forever, Every Time, Every Where

learn
Everyone everywhere will definitely want to always learn, whatever it is the lesson. From a kid until the parents were still always wanted to learn. Learning not only be done at school, but learned can also be done when and wherever we are. Besides learning not only in the form of textbook learning alone but we can also learn from what we experience or learn from the policy advice they have given us.

Currently always been considered easy to learn for some circles. There are some people who already have a decent life but wasted their education. They always dissipate, do not want to learn and think little learning. But it was not for some people less fortunate, those who always wanted to learn whenever and wherever they are and those who want to go to school but do not have a cost. What to do if people have different ideas for learning.

Indeed there are times when thoughts keep learning course will also be saturated, we also need refreshing the mind to calm him down. But what should be by doing things that are not useful, it is wonderful for us people who have a decent life can learn from people who can not afford. They always wanted to pursue their ambitions despite the conditions that are not possible.

That way we also have learned, that learning from the experiences of others. Learn and always learn is something very good activity. Although we're old but we must always learn and study. Moreover, there is no reason for us as humans to not learn. Learning can make people become wiser. All have been created by god for us to learn and by learning we can become better human beings. Because God also loves the people who always wanted to learn.

The Values of Human Life

The Values of Human LifeTo live a life need a values as a direction. Social interaction is alive based on the values in collectivity that balance each other. Without values, social life would be chaotic and uncivilized. Your current living and interacting with others is determined by the value that affect you. The better values do you have, the more wise your life. This not about price or measure of material, but about the wisdom in a human life.

Any person may hold different values but it is normal. As evil and good, positive and constructive value for the civilization will always be faced with a value of destructive and negative.

There are people who recognize the values that affect their lives and some are not. Whether we realize it or not, each life necessarily reflect those values. If you respect the democracy, that means there is democracy value in you. If you respect the differences and diversity of each other, that means there is value of pluralism in yourself. And so on.

Other positive values that I know is justice, volunteerism, religious, gender equality and justice, accountability, participatory, transparent, proportional and others.

Please hold the value of life what you hold. If you hold a negative value, the your social environment will refuse it by itself, and vice versa. Note however that not all resistance values by the community because the values that you use or bring is negative, it usually is because of the refusal to maintain stability there and there was a small group of people who would take the benefit. So when the new positive value entry, a small group of people who hold a negative value of tradition was threatened.

Facebook and Politic Interest

Facebook popularity has threat the ruler of some country. Freedom of expression through facebook makes everyone can say everything such as hobby, science, politic, issues, education, business, etc. But, sometime the freedom has touched on (indicated) sensitive political issues in its user countries. Iran for the example, general election moment has become sensitive issue in facebook since the president candidates use facebook to spread their message and some media released that the incumbent (Ahmadinejad) has called for a ban on Facebook during the country's presidential election.

In Indonesia, facebook is also used to express its Indonesian members on their politic expression. Currently, Indonesia is still in general election fase and waiting for the next election for the next president. I have seen in some facebook group, there were different expression about political message has been spread out. Pro, contra, support, hate, etc is typed by user. Even, a TV station displayed facebook member expression on politic in their broadcast. For a politician, Facebook is also useful to campaign. As Barrac Obama did, facebook helped him very much to get support and then win the last United Stated president election.

As I monitored, facebook brings a new method for all to expression and to influnce the other, but facebook also bring conflict and problem. I think the problem is not caused by facebook itself, but by its user. How to use it and what for. I heard that facebook is related to jewish youth organization and support Israel to fight my brother and sister in Palestine, but I can not condemt it because the problem not caused by facebook itself. How come I say:" Go to hell facebook" meanwhile many my brother and sister are member of facebook. My principle is, if you are believe that facebook is bad, so leave it and if you believe that facebook is useful, take it. My conclusion is, whatever media being in internet, it is depend on to you to use it. When you use with a good faith, other people will be helped. For my self, facebook is still useful eventhough I'm seldom to maintain my account there.

Obama: No Comment for Israeli Aggression to Palestine

obama and zionistUntil I wrote this posting three days ago, there was no comment from US elected president, Barack Husein Obama, on Israeli Aggression to Palestine. That why I never regret withdrawing my support for Obama in my Facebook since him still a candidate for president about fours month ago. Today fact that shows his "no comment" has proved to us what I feel about his leadership and commitment to world peace, democracy and global harmony.

I agree to what Joshua Frank wrote below. I think you should read it too:

As President-elect Barack Obama vacationed in Hawaii on Dec. 26, stopping off to watch a dolphin show with his family at Sea Life Park, an Israeli air raid besieged the impoverished Gaza Strip, killing at least 285 people and injuring over 800 more. It was the single deadliest attack on Gaza in over 20 years, and Obama's initial reaction on what could be his first real test as president was "no comment." Meanwhile, Israel has readied itself for a land invasion, amassing tanks along the border and calling up 6,500 reserve troops.

On Sunday's Face the Nation, Obama senior adviser David Axelrod explained to guest cost Chip Reid how an Obama administration would handle the situation, even if it turns for the worse.

"Well, certainly, the president-elect recognizes the special relationship between United States and Israel. It's an important bond, an important relationship. He's going to honor it. … And obviously, this situation has become even more complicated in the last couple of days and weeks. As Hamas began its shelling, Israel responded. But it's something that he's committed to."

Reiterating the rationale that Israel's bombing of Gaza was an act of retaliation and not of aggression, Axelrod, on behalf of the Obama administration, continued to spread the same misinformation as President Bush: that Hamas was the first to break the cease-fire agreement, which ended over a week ago, and Israel was simply responding judiciously.

Aside from the fact that Israel's response was anything but judicious, the idea that it was Hamas who broke the six-month truce is a complete fabrication.

On the night of the U.S. election, Israel fired missiles on Gaza that were aimed at closing down a tunnel operation they believed Hamas was building in order to kidnap Israeli soldiers. The carnage left in the wake of Israel's bombing of Gaza over the past six weeks has killed dozens of Palestinians.

"The escalation towards war could, and should, have been avoided. It was the State of Israel which broke the truce, in the 'ticking tunnel' raid … two months ago," the Israeli peace group Gush Shalom wrote in a press release. "Since then, the army went on stoking the fires of escalation with calculated raids and killings, whenever the shooting of missiles on Israel decreased."Over the last seven years only 17 Israeli citizens have been killed by Palestinian rocket fire, which makes it extremely difficult for Israeli politicians, who are in the midst of an election, to argue that their response has been proportionate or defensible in any way.

The asymmetry of the conflict leaves an opening for harsh criticism from soon-to-be president Barack Obama. He has every right to oppose Israel's belligerence. The international community and public opinion are on his side. Certainly he knows Israel's disproportionate response has inflicted pain on Palestinians beyond what the blockade has done by keeping vital medical and other supplies from reaching Gaza, where hundreds have died as a result of inadequate medical treatment.

While bombs fall on a suffocating Palestinian population and Israeli forces prepare for a ground invasion, Obama is monitoring the situation from afar after a talk with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and other Bush administration officials. This isn't leadership; it's a continuation of a policy that has left Palestinians with little recourse, let alone hope for lasting peace.

"The president-elect was in Sderot last July, in southern Israel, a town that's taken the brunt of the Hamas attacks," David Axelrod told Chip Reid on Face the Nation. "And he said then that, when bombs are raining down on your citizens, there is an urge to respond and act and try and put an end to that. So, you know, that's what he said then, and I think that's what he believes."

If Axelrod is correct, and Barack Obama does indeed support the bloodshed inflicted upon innocent Palestinians by the Israeli military, there should be no celebration on Inauguration Day 2009, only mass protest against a Middle East foreign policy that must change in order to begin a legitimate peace process in the region.

Massacre of Gazan Children

Oh My Palestinian Bothers, Sisters and Children !

I hate my fate that I am not amongst you ;

In the heaps of the dead with the bodies torn,

The angels escorting your souls to the Paradise .

You are enjoying the fruits of the Celestial Bliss,

Your innocent blood spilled on the earth;

Is cultivating a new crop of the valiant crusaders,

Who will uproot the pillars of the oppression.

Your survivors are still looking around,

For help from the brothers in the name of faith ;

Their people know them as mighty kings and heads,

But they are stupid lackeys of the American Tyrant.

Believe me! I am discerning red clouds over the skies,

‘The Doom of the aggressor’ is written on them;

The Divine Justice is now making its way,

The worst awaits your brothers - the silent spectators.

BrassTacks, a security and defense analysis think tank based in Islamabad, has released a policy paper on the genocide facing Christians in India. Recent weeks have brought disturbing images from the plight of the Christians. The Hindu terrorist organizations involved are thought to have secret Indian government patronage. Could it be that India is training a ‘Hindu al-Qaeda’? The policy paper is attached in PDF format. Below, you can go through some of these exclusive pictures contained in the BrassTacks report.

Fidel Castro's Comment On G20 Meeting (November 2008)

g20 washington meetingBelow article was copied from Politicalaffairs.Net, a Marxist Thought Online, just to show us Fidel Castro thought on latest G20 meeting in Washington (15th November 2008). It is interesting reading since he seldom appear in public sphere and over handle his position as Cuba president to his brother, Raul Castro.

Results of G-20 Meeting on the Global Economy

Bush seemed happy to have Lula sitting to his right during dinner on Friday. On the other hand, Hu Jintao, whom he respects for the enormous market in his country, the capacity to produce consumer goods at low cost and the volume of his reserves in US dollars and bonds was sitting to his left.

Medvedev, whom he offends with the threat of locating strategic radars and missiles not far from Moscow, was assigned a seat rather distant from the White House host.

The King of Saudi Arabia, a country that in a near future will produce 15 million tons of light oil at highly competitive prices was also sitting at his left, at Hu’s side.

Meanwhile, Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and his most faithful allied in Europe, could not be seen close to him in the pictures.

Nicolas Sarkozy, who is rather disappointed at the present architecture of the financial order, was far from him looking embittered.

The President of the Spanish Government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, a victim of Bush’s personal resentment attending the conclave in Washington, I could not even see in the television images of the dinner.

That’s how those attending the banquet were sitting.

Anyone would have thought that the following day there would be a profound debate on the thorny issue.

On Saturday morning, the press agencies were reporting on the program that would unfold at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Every second was covered. There would be an analysis of the current crisis and the actions to be taken. It would start at 11:30 a.m. local time. First, there would be a photo op, or “family picture” a Bush called it, and twenty minutes later the first plenary session would start followed by a another one in the second half of the day. Everything was strictly planned, even the fine sanitary services.

The speeches and analysis would last approximately three hours and 30 minutes. Lunch would be at 3:25 local time, immediately followed by the final declaration at 5:05. One hour later, at 6:05, Bush would be leaving for Camp David to rest, have dinner and have a pleasant sleep.

Those following the event were impatient to see the day going by and trying to know how the problems of the earth and the human specie would be dealt with in such a short time. A final declaration had been announced.

The fact is that the Summit’s final declaration was worked out by previously chosen economic advisors, very much in line with the neoliberal ideas, while Bush in his statements prior to the summit and after its conclusion claimed more power and more money for the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other world institutions under strict control of the United States and its closest allies. That country had decided to inject $700 billion to bailout its banks and multinational corporations. Europe had offered an identical or even higher figure. Japan, its strongest pillar in Asia, has promised a $100 billion contribution. In the case of the People’s Republic of China, which is developing increasing and convenient relations with Latin American countries, they are expecting another contribution of $100 billion from its reserves.

Where would so many dollars, euros and pound sterlings come from if not from the deep indebtedness of new generations? How can the structure of the new world economy be built on paper money, which is what is really circulating in the short run, when the country issuing it is suffering from an enormous fiscal deficit? Would it be worthwhile traveling by air to a place on the planet named Washington to meet with a President with only 60 more days left in government and signing a document previously designed to be adopted at the Washington Museum? Could the US radio, TV and press be right not to pay special attention to this old imperialist game in the much-trumpeted meeting?

What is really incredible is the final declaration adopted by consensus in the conclave. It is obviously the participants’ full acceptance of Bush’s demands made before and during the summit. Some of the attending countries had no choice but to adopt it; in their desperate struggle for development, they did not want to be isolated from the richest and most powerful and their financial institutions, which are the majority in the G20.

Bush was really euphoric as he spoke. He used demagogic phrases which mirror the final declaration.

He said: “The first decision I had to make was who was coming to the meeting. And obviously I decided that we ought to have the G20 nations, as opposed to the G8 or the G13. But once you make the decision to have the G20 then the fundamental question is, with that many nations, from six different continents, who all represent different stages of economic development, would I be possible to reach agreements, and not only agreements, would I be possible to reach agreements that were substantive? And I’m pleased to report the answer to that question was, absolutely.”

“The United States has taken some extraordinary measures. Those of you who have followed my career know that I’m a free market person – until you are told that if you don’t take decisive measures then it’s conceivable that our country could go into a depression greater than the Great Depression.”

“[…] we just started on the $700 billion fund to start getting money out to our banks.”

“[…] we all understand the need to work on pro-growth economic policies.”

“Transparency is very important so that investors and regulators are able to know the truth.”

The rest of what Bush said goes more or less along this line.

The final declaration of the summit, which takes half an hour to read in
public due to its length, is clearly defined in a number of selected
paragraphs:

“We, the leaders of the G20 have held a first meeting in Washington, on November 15, in the light of serious challenges to the world economy and financial markets…”

“[…] we should lay the foundations for a reform that will make this global crisis less likely to happen again in the future. Our work should be guided by the principles of the free market, free trade and investment….”

“[…] the market players sought to obtain more benefits failing to make an adequate assessment of the risks and they failed…”

“The authorities, regulators and supervisors from some developed nations did not realize or adequately warned about the risks created in the financial markets…”

“…insufficient and poorly coordinated macroeconomic policies as well as inadequate structure reforms, led to an unsustainable macroeconomic
global result.”

“Many emerging economies, which have helped sustain the world economy, are increasingly suffering from the world brakes.”

“We note the important role of the IMF in response to the crisis; we salute the new short-term liquidity mechanism and urge the constant reviewing of its instruments to ensure flexibility.”

“We shall encourage the World Bank and other multilateral developing banks to use their full capacity in support of their agenda for assistance…”

“We will make sure that the IMF, the World Bank and other multilateral developing banks have the necessary resources to continue playing their role in the solution of the crisis.”

“We shall exercise a strong monitoring of the credit agencies through the development of an international code of conduct.”

“We pledge to protect the integrity of the world financial markets by reinforcing protection to the investor and the consumer.”

“We are determined to advance in the reform of the Bretton Woods institutions so that they reflect the changes in the world economy to increase their legitimacy and effectiveness.”

“We shall meet again on April 30, 2009, to examine the implementation of the principles and decisions made today.”

“We concede that these reforms will only be successful if they are based on a serious commitment to the principles of free market, including the rule of law, respect for private property, free trade and investment, efficient and competitive markets and effectively regulated financial systems.”

“We shall refrain from erecting new barriers to investment and trade in goods and services.”

“We are aware of the impact of the current crisis on the developing nations, especially on those most vulnerable.”

“We are certain that as we advance through cooperation, collaboration and multilateralism we will overcome the challenges and restore stability and prosperity to the world economy.”

This technocratic language is beyond grasp of the masses.

The empire is treated courteously; its abusive methods are not criticized.

The IMF, the World Bank and the multilateral credit organizations are praised despite the fact that they generate debts, enormous bureaucratic expenses and investments while supplying raw materials to the large multinationals which are also responsible for the crisis.

This goes on like that until the last paragraph. It’s a boring declaration full of the usual rhetoric. It doesn’t say anything. It was signed by Bush, the champion of neoliberalism, the man responsible for genocidal wars and massacres, who has invested in his bloody adventures all the money that would have sufficed to change the economic face of the world.

The document does not have a word on the absurd policy promoted by the United States of turning food into fuel; or the unequal exchange of which the Third World countries are victims; or about the useless arms race, the production and trade of weapons, the breakup of the ecological balance and the extremely serious threats to peace that bring the world to the brink of annihilation.

Only a short four-word phrase in the long document mentions the need “to face climate change.”

The declaration reflects the demand of the countries attending the conclave to meet again in April 2009, in the United Kingdom, Japan or any other country that meets the necessary requirements – nobody knows which – to examine the situation of the world finances, dreaming that the cyclical crisis with their dramatic consequences never happen again.

Now is the time for the theoreticians from the left and the right to offer their passionate or dispassionate criteria on the document.

Form my point of view the privileges of the empire were not even touched. Having the necessary patience to read it completely, one can see that is simply a pious appeal to the ethic of the most powerful country on earth, both technologically and militarily, at the time of economic globalization; it’s like begging the wolf not to eat up little red riding hood.

Should NGO Activist Involves Their Self Directly In Politic?

Should NGO Activist Involves Their Self Directly In Politic? It is debatable question whether NGO activist should involves directly in politic domain. In Indonesia, NGO activist who come across into politic is still being an interesting topic for among NGO activist. Globally, there is no rigid norm to prevent this phenomenon, but commonly, is it unacceptable when NGO activist became a politician since domain area for NGO and Politic extremely different. Different area mean different system, interest, value, interest and motivation in development.

Based on Arito and Cohen: market, civil society and state are have different domain and different function. This separation called as the triangle sector. NGO is entity in civil society domain area and politic is in state domain area, as such they have to be acted by different actor. Those three sector must keep their role in check and balance each other.

Back to Indonesia context, NGO or civil society activist who became a politician is traditional society movement since this country citizen met their nationality passion when colonial age until now. Many founding father of Indonesia ware civil society activist. This fact encourages today NGO activist have political motivation in their existence in NGO. When they are feel have enough experience to be a politician or feel boring in NGO, they will across to politic activity. But, it is recognize that not all of NGO activist have this motivation and keep their commitment to fighting for marginalized people purely, but in my observation, they are only in less number.

Somehow, they believe that became a politician is fighting for social justice through political way is not differs than when they struggle in NGO. In common perception, this fact is motivated by perception that became an NGO activist is not good for our live in the future, there is no enough need for living will you get when you dedicated your live and working for NGO throughout your life. That is true since the salary for NGO (especially for local NGO) is not as much as politician or businessman salary. But, none honest about this.

I myself disagree if the NGO activist become a politician, but that not mean I do not recognize their political rights as a democratic country citizen. I prefer to consist to be a NGO activist/worker/employee than across to other domains, market or state, that have different values, system, way, interest, and motivation in build a nation.
